Colorado Rapids Soccer Club has acquired Columbus Crew SC’s natural second round selection in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the rights to midfielder Mike Grella.
The Rapids selected the midfielder in today’s Stage One of the MLS Re-Entry Draft and immediately traded his rights to Columbus Crew SC for the second round pick.
Earlier this week, the Rapids acquired wingback Kip Colvey via the 2017 MLS Waiver Draft and forward Jack McBean via trade from LA Galaxy. Both players have been added to Colorado’s supplemental roster for the 2018 campaign.
