The Colorado Rapids USL affiliate Charlotte Independence fell to Bethlehem Steel 1-0 at home on Friday.
After conceding an early goal, the Independence had to chase the game. They found some chances through Rapids' loanees Zach Pfeffer and Caleb Calvert, but were unable to find the back of the net.
“As a team we just try to regroup in the locker room,” said Pfeffer. “We know what we can do as a team, we know our strengths, we know that we’re a very good team, we have a lot of good players.”
The defeat comes after a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC II last week.
