There’s that great scene in “Batman” — the Tim Burton version from 1989, not the slicker, cooler Christopher Nolan films from 2005 to 2012 — where the newly minted Batman grabs some nefarious criminal by the scruff of his shirt collar and hoists him over a 50-foot drop. The no-goodnik, peeing his pants while staring into the face of a grown man wearing what otherwise might be regarded as a goofy mask with pointy ears, blurts out “What are you?” And Michael Keaton/Bruce Wayne replies “I’m Batman,” as cool as you like.
