He’s finally here.
Five months after firing Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni, the Colorado Rapids today named Anthony Hudson as their new manager.
Hudson joins the Rapids after three years of managing the New Zealand men’s football team. The All-Whites earned runner-up honors in the Oceania region of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, which earned the team a home-and-away series against CONMEBOL’s fifth place team, Peru. Peru went on to knock New Zealand out of the final spot for the 2018 World Cup with a 2-0 win in Lima on November 15th.
The 36-year old Hudson was born in Seattle, Washington, but lived much of his younger life in England, where he was in the academy at West Ham.
