BOULDER — Mel Tucker may not know the Sawatch from the San Juan, but he knows kids. And if you’re sweating how a guy with SEC and Big Ten roots is going to relate to wunderkinds in Colorado and California, Joe Palcic has one piece of advice:
Chill, dude.
“I think that’s overrated, in terms of being able to recruit,” Palcic, a longtime Miami University assistant and an old Tucker pal, said from the recruiting trail Thursday, a few hours after the venerated Georgia defensive coordinator was introduced as the Colorado Buffaloes’ new football coach.
