Veteran's Day ceremony a personal moment for CU Buffs men's basketball

The Colorado Buffaloes posted their season-opening men's basketball victory on Veteran's Day Friday against Sacramento State, and the festivities included a touching and inspiring halftime ceremony.

During the break Tresse King, the mother of CU junior George King, was promoted from Army Senior Master Sergeant to Chief Master Sergeant with her son and his teammates looking on.

Military regulations require the presence of an officer for promotion ceremonies, and so Col. Angela Fortune, the mother of senior Josh Fortune, and Sgt. First Class Eddie Gordon, the father of senior Wesley Gordon, volunteered to handle the duties.
