SALT LAKE CITY – Decisive runs in the third and fourth quarters helped propel Utah to a 58-53 win here Saturday over the Colorado women's basketball team, denying the Buffaloes their chance for a second consecutive Pac-12 Conference win.
The Buffs, who snapped a five-game losing streak with a 54-49 win against the Utes on Wednesday in Boulder, were victimized by 16-0 and 10-0 Utah surges in the final two quarters.
However, CU (12-9 overall, 2-8 Pac-12) closed to within two points in the final 39 seconds but couldn't overtake Utah (14-7, 3-7).
