Tyler Bey's late defense saves CU basketball from Omaha upset bid

The Buffs went 19-for-23 at the free throw line and out-rebounded the Mavericks 36-27.

CU couldn't slow Omaha's hot shooting in the second half. The Mavericks shot .531 overall after halftime, including a 6-for-10 mark on 3-pointers.

Lucas Siewert. The 6-foot-10 junior is picking up where he left off last season, scoring 16 points with five rebounds while going 4-for-6 on 3-pointers.

The Buffs will face the University of San Diego Tuesday night in their first road game (8 p.m. MT, ESPNU).
