Tyler Bey was named Pac-12 Player of the Week after helping the Colorado Buffaloes to a delightful sweep over UCLA and USC in the final week of the season.
Bey had 40 points, 24 rebounds and 3 blocks in those two games. He had a career-high 27 points in CU’s dominant win over UCLA, then finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds — a ho-hum effort for him — in their encouraging comeback win over USC. Not in the box score was Bey’s superb defense that helped clamp down star scorers Kris Wilkes and Bennie Boatwright.
This announcement comes the same day as Bey being recognized alongside McKinley Wright on the First Team All-Pac-12.
