LOS ANGELES – University of Colorado junior Abrianna Torres recorded a fifth place finish in the heptathlon at the 2015 Pac-12 Track and Field Outdoor Championships on Sunday.
Torres finished the two-day event with 5,455 points for her highest Pac-12 point total to date. She tallied 5,357 points in 2013, which put her third overall, and in 2014, she recorded 4,810 points for eighth place.
The San Luis Obisbo, Calif. native had an excellent start to the day, winning the long jump with a 19-6.75 mark, five inches off her season best. She recorded her second best mark this season in the javelin in the second event of the day, throwing 119-7.
