LOS ANGELES – After the first day of competition at the 2015 Pac-12 Track and Field Championships, University of Colorado junior Abrianna Torres is fifth overall in the heptathlon with 3,304 points.
Torres got the day off to a good start, clocking a personal best 14.35 in the 100-meter hurdles. She tied for third in the high jump, narrowly missing her PR (5-6) with a jump of 5-5.75. In the shot put, Torres again just missed her PR (45-4.50), throwing a season-best 45-3.50 which was good for second. The mark, however, was the best throw for Torres during a heptathlon which broke her heptathlon shot put school record of 44-0.
