Alex Fontenot was not fazed, however, leading CU's football team to a season-opening 52-31 victory over Colorado State at Mile High Stadium in Denver on Aug. 31. The sophomore running back rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns in the win, earning No. 17 on our countdown of top individual performances from 2019-20.
Fontenot took his third carry of the game 32 yards into CSU territory to set up the first score of the game and ended the first quarter with 45 yards on just six carries.
