BOULDER — Exactly half of tight end Jalen Harris’ catches during his three-plus seasons at Auburn ended up in the end zone.
The problem is, the Montgomery, Ala., native had only four receptions total.
Harris’s job was to block, but he wanted more. He wanted to catch the ball. So, with his bachelor’s degree already in hand, Harris transferred to Colorado as a graduate student last winter.
Now first-year Buffaloes coach Mel Tucker has him playing a versatile role in what often is a two-tight end set in his final year of eligibility.
