Few players have joined the University of Colorado soccer program with the sort of accolades owned by freshman Taylor Kornieck.
The rookie is showing all those honors have more than a little merit.
Kornieck continued her scoring surge on Friday, recording a pair of goals while senior Danica Evans added a goal and an assist to power the Buffaloes to a 3-1 victory against visiting Hawaii.
It was the Buffs' second consecutive victory on the heels of a three-game losing streak.
Kornieck posted her first goal off a flip throw-in from Danica Evans, using every inch of her 6-foot-1 frame to redirect Evans' toss into the corner of the net with her head.
