BERKELEY, Calif. – Senior Miranda Stinson recorded a school record eight goals on Sunday afternoon, which helped propel the No. 23 University of Colorado lacrosse team past the California Bears, 17-11, at California Memorial Stadium.
The Buffs improved to 3-3 with the win and are now 2-0 in Pac-12 play, while the Bears are now 4-5 overall (1-1 Pac-12).
"To leave California with two wins is big for us and we need to keep building off of this," head coach Ann Elliott Whidden said. "We didn't do a great job today on some of the little things, ground balls and draw controls; we have to have a better effort as we move forward and more of a sense of urgency to finish plays.
