Spencer Dinwiddie has been waived by the Chicago Bulls. He will be a free agent and can now sign wherever he pleases.
Dinwiddie, one of the greatest Buffaloes of all time, was drafted by the Detroit Pistons 38th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. Detroit drafted him a mere five months after he tore his ACL in a game at Washington.
Detroit was confident that Dinwiddie would be able to recover from his injury and contribute down the road. Dinwiddie recovered in due time, but his contributions weren’t significant enough for him to crack the Pistons’ guard rotation.
