BOULDER – Sophomore Paige Soenksen of the University of Colorado lacrosse team was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Midwest/West All-Regional Second Team on Monday.
Soenksen, a goalkeeper from Encinitas, Calif. was one of only two Buffaloes to start in all 18 games this season and played a pivotal role on defense. She made 151 saves and recorded an impressive .489 save percentage, which ranked first among conference goalies. Soenksen also averaged an MPSF-leading 8.39 saves per game, while logging more than 950 minutes in the cage. Her 9.51 goals against average was fourth-best in the league and she also capped her second season in black and gold by picking up a career-high 34 groundballs, third-most on the team.
