BOULDER - "Right when I scored, a whole bunch of emotions came to me. I started crying."
That was the feeling when Camilla Shymka scored late in Saturday's record-breaking 6-1 win at the University of Denver. The sophomore from Calgary, Alberta, scored her first goal of the season. But it was also her first goal after tearing her ACL on Oct. 14 last season. Following her injury, she questioned whether she would ever play soccer again, let alone score a goal in a collegiate match 11 months later.
"I just remembered when I first tore it, I never thought I'd score another goal again," Shymka said.
