WESTMINSTER, Colo. - University of Colorado sophomore golfer Robyn Choi will compete in the U.S. Women's Open after winning the Colorado Golf Association's qualifying event at The Ranch Country Club on Monday.
Choi shot 6-under, 136, at Monday's 36-hole tournament on the 6,605-yard par 71 course, to advance to her second-straight USGA national championship. The 73rd U.S. Women's Open will be held May 31-June 3 at the Shoal Creek Golf and Country Club in Shoal Creek, Ala.
Choi set the pace early, shooting 5-under 66 over her first 18 holes, carding the low score of the tournament.
