When the University of Colorado went looking for a football coach 2 ½ years ago, it was suggested in this space the powers that be should hire Mike MacIntyre away from San Jose State.
Now that MacIntyre is in his third year in Boulder preparing for his third season, the decision to hire him looks even better than imagined in some ways, but there is much to be determined in the coming months before it can be said that hiring him was the right decision.
CU fans couldn't have asked for guy who works harder than MacIntyre.
