A long-awaited, redacted version of a third-party investigation into the University of Colorado's failure to report domestic violence allegations against former football coach Joe Tumpkin is expected to be released today after a CU Board of Regents meeting in Denver.
The public report is supposed to be based off of a 97-page external report produced by Philadelphia-based outside investigators Cozen O'Connor. During a May Board of Regents meeting, CU spokesman Ken McConnellogue said the full report was never intended to reach the public due to legal and personnel matters.
CU denied a Daily Camera Colorado Open Records Act request to see the full report, citing attorney-client privilege and personnel as a defense.
