FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Colorado women's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season here Sunday in a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-16, 25-14) to Arkansas in the Arkansas Invitational.
The Buffaloes (7-1) snap a record 19-match non-conference win streak and remain winless against SEC schools since 2008. Arkansas (7-1) extends its 18-set win streak with a sixth-straight sweep since losing to Washington.
Colorado struggled to break through the Razorback blocks, hitting 12 of its 20 attack errors into the block resulting in a .059 hitting percentage. Paired with six service errors, seven reception errors and four block errors, the Buffs never found a rhythm in the match and only held a lead for two rallies in the first set.
