College football’s most entertaining and beloved mascot will not be in Denver on Saturday.
‘Ralphie VI’, the University of Colorado’s newest live buffalo, won’t make the trip due to a couple different concerns, CU’s AD/SID Dave Plati told TRR on Friday. One of the most notable was the heat expected for tomorrow afternoon’s game between Colorado and No. 5 Texas A&M with temperatures in the low-90’s.
She graced Folsom Field in her debut last Friday night. The 15-month-old, 500-pound bison takes over for the previous ‘Ralphie V’, who retired in 2019 after serving the university for the past 12 years.
