What exactly are the CU Buffs looking for in a Ralphie VI?
“It’s a whole lot of things,” John Graves, program manager for CU’s live Ralphie mascots, told The Denver Post on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after the announcement that the live mascot’s current iteration — Ralphie V — has officially retired.
“We look at their temperament, how comfortable they are around people, around humans. We also look at the characteristics of their legs and joints and what they look like (there). And making sure they’re happy and healthy. There’s a whole lot we look at.
