Pac-12 head coaches and their staffs had eight months — nine, in some cases — to prepare for the season openers.
To evaluate their personnel and scout their opponents.
To set their game plans.
To refine their clock management.
To learn the rules.
Eight months.
Some earned their pay. But others?
The Hotline was so taken aback by mistakes with game management and tactics — by the lack of preparation and improvement — that we decided to tally up the investment into the coaching staffs that left us underwhelmed.
