PHILADELPHIA – Colorado senior running back Phillip Lindsay is one of 85 players named Monday to the 81st annual Maxwell Award watch list, the Maxwell Football Club announced.
The Maxwell Award, named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell, has been given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937.
The Pac-12 Conference had 11 players named to the preseason watch list and Lindsay was one of six running backs from the league to be selected. Of the five other players from the conference to make the list, four were quarterbacks and the last was Washington State offensive tackle Cody O'Connell.
