Palmer Ridge H.S. quarterback Ty Evans has decided to head east, flipping his commitment from Colorado to N.C. State.
Evans, a three-star prospect and Elite 11 player in the 2019 class finished his four years as a starter for the Bears with 9,453 passing yards for 106 touchdowns with 26 interceptions. He tore his MCL in the final regular season game this past year, but played the entire postseason to win a second state title for Palmer Ridge.
The news of Evans’ de-commitment comes hours after Kurt Roper was not retained as part of Mel Tucker’s staff.
