Owen McCown will start his second career game against the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, according to Colorado Buffaloes head coach Karl Dorrell.
The true freshman looked good enough in the game in the UCLA for Dorrell to stick with him after previously starting Brendon Lewis and JT Shrout at the position. McCown threw for 258 yards and touchdown in the 45-17 loss. His yardage was the most by a QB since Sam Noyer threw for the same amount in a 2020 loss to Utah.
Colorado has had one of the worst offenses in the country, but they showed more promise on Saturday than they had before.
