With about eight minutes left the Colorado Buffaloes were pulling away, McKinley Wright was picking up one milestone after another, and another party felt underway at the CU Events Center.
But then, much like last year, Oregon State decided to spoil all the fun.
The Beavers used a 10-0 run to climb back into the game late and then made all the big plays in the final two minutes before handing the Buffaloes a stunning 76-68 defeat on Sunday afternoon. The loss erased all the good vibes CU picked up three days earlier with a win against fourth-ranked Oregon and left coach Tad Boyle and his club lamenting yet another late collapse at home against Oregon State.
