Oleynik Picks Up Win, But Buffs Fall In First Round Of Pac-12 Championships

OJAI, CALIF.— The season for Colorado's women's tennis team came to a close on Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 Championships here at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club as the Buffaloes fell to the No. 43 Washington Huskies, 4-1. It was the second straight year the Huskies eliminated the Buffs in the first round of the Pac-12 Championships.

With the win, UW (16-10, 6-5 Pac-12) will advance to the quarterfinals to take on the top-seeded Stanford Cardinal, while CU finished the season at 9-12 (2-8 Pac-12).

What Happened: Washington started out strong in doubles play to open the match.
