LAS VEGAS — Once again the Colorado Buffaloes couldn't put two solid halves of basketball together.
Unlike Wednesday's Pac-12 Conference tournament opener, when the Buffs got away with sleepwalking through the first half before abruptly turning the tide against Washington State, CU had no answer for an inspired Arizona squad after halftime in the teams' quarterfinal battle on Thursday.
The seventh-ranked Wildcats opened the second half with an 11-0 run and never looked back, ending the Buffs' dream of a miracle run through the league tournament with a 92-78 decision at T-Mobile Arena.
