STANFORD, Calif. — Colorado finally saw its record-setting unbeaten streak come to an end at 16 games on Sunday, as No. 1 Stanford handed No. 15 CU its first loss of the season in a 7-0 rout at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
The loss drops the Buffs to 13-1-3 overall (5-1-2 Pac-12). Meanwhile, Stanford extended its own unbeaten streak to 37 games, while improving to 14-0-1 overall (5-1-2 Pac 12).
The two teams entered the afternoon with two of the top offenses in the nation. The Cardinal offense started on a blistering pace, forcing the Buffs into an unfamiliar position.
