Colorado fans who have been following the international success of one of the track program's most decorated alums can now support Emma Coburn and a good cause all at the same time.
On Wednesday, Coburn announced a partnership with New Balance for a new custom t-shirt that will help aid St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Coburn became the first American woman to medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase when she won the bronze at the 2016 London Olympics, and along the way she set the American record with a time of 9 minutes, 2.58 seconds.
Coburn, a native of Crested Butte, won steeplechase NCAA championships for the Buffs in 2011 and 2013.
