BOULDER – Maybe this rivalry isn’t dormant, after all.
Big Red nation invaded Boulder and roared for nearly three quarters, their team seemingly in complete control. Nebraska was leading Colorado 17-0 and redemption from last year’s loss in Lincoln was within its grasp.
That was before the Buffaloes dug deep into their bag of tricks, turning back the clock on a rivalry that unfortunately won’t be renewed until 2023.
No matter. The Buffaloes’ 34-31 overtime win will probably be talked about until then.
As wild as Colorado’s come-from-behind victory was, Nebraska senior safety Mohamed Barry wasn’t convinced the Buffaloes should’ve won.
