HONOLULU – The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame released its Class of 2017, inducting five former players and contributors, including former University of Colorado standout Chris Naeole.
Also honored were Junior Ah You, Riki Ellison, Ma'a Tanuvasa and John Manumaleuna.
Naeole, a Kaaawa, Hawai'i who played high school football at Kahuku High School, starred on the offensive line for the Buffaloes from 1992-96. He was a consensus first-team All-American as a senior becoming the first native Hawaiian player in 51 years to achieve this honor. Naeole also had 58 pancake blocks as a senior, a school record, and did not allow a quarterback sack in his final 28 games.
