Colorado men’s basketball signed transfer Derrick White from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, the team announced in a release Sunday morning.
“He was a kid overlooked by virtually everybody, obviously except UCCS, coming out of high school,” Buffs coach Tad Boyle said. “He’s got great size, great athleticism and he has great skill.”
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard was one of the best Division II players in the country in his three years in Colorado Springs. White averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game in his career. He shot 49 percent from the field, 32 percent from deep and 83 percent from the free-throw line.
