BOULDER — What are Mel Tucker’s Buffaloes going to look like, once he puts down his stamp?
One word: Tough.
“We’re going to live tough,” said Tucker, who was formally introduced at a news conference Thursday morning at the Dal Ward Center as the 26th football coach in University of Colorado history. “We’re going to eat tough, we’re going to practice tough. It’s going to be who we are. It’s going to be part of the culture.”
Tucker was announced Wednesday afternoon as the program’s successor to Mike MacIntyre, who was fired Nov. 18 after a 30-44 record over six seasons.
