BOULDER — Colorado coach Mel Tucker says he hasn’t shown his CU Buffs players clips from the Michigan-Army game in Ann Arbor last weekend, a contest the favored Wolverines barely escaped in two overtimes, 24-21.
But given that another scrappy service academy that excels at the option game — Air Force — is next on the Buffs’ dance card, you can’t imagine it’s not too far from his mind.
Just don’t call it a “trap” game.
“I think that you have to be totally uninformed to not know what this is all about when you’re playing a team like Air Force,” Tucker said when asked if his team might be caught emotionally flat coming off a euphoric comeback victory against Nebraska last weekend.
