Colorado Buffaloes football received their largest endowment in the program’s 129-year history on Saturday night.
A generous “confidential” donation from philanthropist Kelli Brooks was given to athletic director Rick George, enriching the needs of CU’s student-athletes. It was cause for celebration by George and others who’ve been drumming up support for new head coach Mel Tucker.
“I’ve loved the CU football program my entire life and I’m thankful to be able to support football scholarships,” Brooks said. “My passion for making a difference in the lives of student-athletes runs deep and I’m honored to officially have an impact.
