USAFA — Colorado track and field combined event athletes took to the track Thursday at the 2021 Championships at the Peak with the completion of the women's pentathlon and the first half of the men's heptathlon.
NCAA Championship hopeful Avery McMullen started off the competition strong with a personal best in the hurdles which led her to posting a third-place overall finish in the pentathlon and a five-point personal best mark of 3919.
Her mark would've been the 11th best in the nation this season, but the two ahead of her will drop her to 13th at this very moment.
