With the Pac-12 Conference looming for the surging Colorado men's basketball team, the Buffaloes took a quick timeout Sunday to hand out their annual team awards.
For the second consecutive season, sophomore point guard McKinley Wright captured CU's Chancey Billups MVP Award. Wright goes into Wednesday's first-round matchup against Cal averaging 13.0 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds. Wright owns a .504 overall field goal percentage, and after a rough start to the season from 3-point range Wright compiled a solid .388 mark from the arc in league play.
Wright also won the Jay Humphries Assist Award for the second consecutive year.
