BOULDER – Madeleine Sheils, NCAA champion coach and former tour professional, has been named the Associate Head Coach of the University of Colorado women's golf program, Buffaloes head coach Anne Kelly announced on Thursday.
Sheils, who officially begins her position on July 1, replaces Brent Franklin, who recently retired after 20 years as an assistant and associate head coach on Kelly's staff.
Prior to joining Colorado, Sheils teed off her collegiate coaching career with three successful seasons as an assistant coach at Pac-12 Conference rival Stanford (2019-22). Sheils helped Stanford to the 2022 NCAA Championship, its second in program history.
