Denver Broncos rookie Phillip Lindsay continued his magical season Monday night against the Oakland Raiders. The former Colorado Buffaloes star entered Monday night’s game needing nine rushing yards to reach 1,000 for the season. Lindsay rushed for 46 yards on 10 carries in a 27-14 loss to join LeGarrette Blount (2010) and Dominic Rhodes (2001) as the only undrafted rookies in the Super Bowl era to rush for 1000-plus yards.
“He’s had a great year,” Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said, via the team’s website. “Obviously his story is special, and I’m proud of him.
