SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Kennedy Leonard tied a career high with 31 points as Colorado recovered from an atrocious start to win 69-65 at Utah on Thursday night. The win snapped a six-game losing streak as the Buffs improved to 12-10 overall and 3-8 in the Pac-12. Utah dropped to 14-8 and 5-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED: CU could not have had a tougher start as the Buffs missed their first 16 shot attempts and trailed 16-0 midway through the first quarter. After Aubrey Knight hit 1-of-2 free throws with 4:20 left in the first quarter to get CU on the board and Leonard and Jank combined to hit three consecutive 3-pointers and the Buffs went on a 12-0 run to get within 16-12 and ended up trailing 20-14 heading into the second quarter.
