The idea of playing with his older brother nearly led La’Vontae Shenault to somewhere other than Colorado.
In the end, however, the opportunity to play with his older brother is what attracted him to Boulder.
“You can’t go wrong with playing with family,” said Shenault, a DeSoto (Texas) High School star who was one of nine players to sign national letters of intent with CU on Wednesday.

The younger brother of CU receiver Laviska Shenault, La’Vontae had originally committed to Texas Tech and wasn’t sure he wanted the pressure of playing where Laviska has become one of the nation’s best players.
