BOULDER – The Colorado women’s basketball team took control early, never trailed and presented head coach Linda Lappe with her 100th win with the Buffaloes – a 63-41 rout of Northern Colorado on Thursday night at the Coors Events Center.
CU (2-0) had three players in double figures, topped by Haley Smith’s 15. Jamee Swan scored 13 points and collected 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season (11th of her career) while Zoe Beard-Fails added 12 points.
Lappe, now 100-69 in six seasons at CU and 150-105 overall, takes the Buffs to Lexington, Ky.
