DENVER – The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame announced Monday that University of Colorado student-athletes Nate Landman and Dani Jones were named the 2020 Colorado College Athletes of the Year.
Landman was a defensive force with which to be reckoned as a CU linebacker, though he played in just four full games before suffering a season-ending ruptured right Achilles tendon in the first half against Utah. He was a semifinalist for the Butkus Award — given to the nation's top college linebacker — as well as being a first-team All-Pac-12 selection for the second straight year and a second-team All-American according the football writers.
