Colorado defensive line coach Kwahn Drake is heading to Kansas.
The Jayhawks announced Thursday that Drake, who coached the Buffaloes' defensive line this past season, has been hired to join their coaching staff. Drake will follow former CU defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot to Lawrence. Eliot was hired by the Jayhawks earlier this week to be their defensive coordinator.
On Monday, a source told Buffzone.com that Drake would be one of four CU assistant coaches retained by new head coach Mel Tucker.
Tucker, the former Georgia defensive coordinator, was hired Dec. 5 and has been putting his staff together this week.
