BOULDER — Kordell Stewart knows CU fans are tired of rebuilds, tired of being told to wait.
But when it comes to first-year football coach Mel Tucker, the fourth Buffs boss since 2010, he’s sticking to that advice.
“Mel Tucker, I think this guy, his resume speaks for itself,” Stewart, the iconic former Buffs quarterback from 1991-94, said before his alma mater took on Washington late Saturday night at Folsom Field.
“But you’ve got to give it some time, let him get his guys in a system. (I’m) not saying these guys aren’t ‘his’ guys, but kind of create his system, and momentum, with what he has in place, to where he wants it to be.
