FORT COLLINS, Colo. – University of Colorado senior Alex Kizirian broke his second school record this year, this time breaking the hammer throw record at the Jack Christiansen Invitational.
Kizirian, who broke the indoor weight throw record in January, launched a throw of 212-4 on his first effort of the day to break Zack Hazen’s former CU record of 210-11. The mark was almost 10 feet further than Kizirian’s former personal best of 202-5 which he recorded on April 10, 2015 at the Colorado Invitational. With the toss, Kizirian also won the event, defeating CSU’s Tyler Schultz by nearly nine feet (203-7).
